The Average Joes Gym CHALLENGE - Summer Shred 2024 is on!
Looking for motivation? Or need help with eating habits? Maybe you need a kickstart back into a healthy routine? Our 4 week challenge is perfect for this! It's only 4 weeks, just the right amount of time to keep focused, go hard and shred up! The Summer Shred isn't just focused on shredding extra kilos, we're going to shred bad habits, excuses, self-doubt, poor food choices and unhealthy routines too!
We've designed this challenge to break barriers and get you healthy for summer and beyond!
WHAT TO EXPECT:
TEAM SUPPORT & ACCOUNTABILITY
You'll be placed in a team with other challengers, moderated by one of our coaches to help you stay on track. Through individual tasks, finishers, and earning Myzone MEPs, you’ll compete with other teams to dominate the leaderboard. Plus, every Saturday brings a new team event, from Military Bootcamp to the ultimate 'Battle of the Teams'—a fun, high-energy competition that ends with a shared lunch and prizegiving on 7 DEC.
INDIVIDUALISED NUTRITION PLAN
There's no more guess work with eating healthy! Our talented clinical nutritionist (and registered Naturopath!) Alicia from Optimal Health will tailor and guide your nutrition plan based on your unique profile.
Receive advice and guidance from a pre-challenge food diary analysis and co-create with Alicia your own personalised meal plans for 4 weeks. She will give you a shopping list and direct you on the best intermittent fasting strategies for different stages of your hormone cycle, gender and life stage. Your nutrition will be fully optimised for results during the challenge. Alicia's also running a mid-challenge zoom/teams group Q&A session for additional support.
FREE OSTEOPATH SPINAL AND JOINT MOBILITY CHECK
On initial assessment day (9 NOV), take advantage of a complimentary spinal and joint mobility check with Rochelle McKeown from Optimal Osteopathy. She's our new onsite Osteopath upstairs at Average Joes Gym! She'll help uncover any compensatory movement patterns that could be limiting your mobility and your ability to strengthen muscles. She'll give advice on how to move more freely for better performance and comfort throughout the challenge.
Rochelle treats acute to chronic conditions, not only pain, but also works on nervous system regulation, weight loss, breathing patterns, digestion and sleep issues. Rochelle is highly experienced and successfully treats individuals ranging from 3years old to teens to 98year old patients.

You'll start with a FREE 45min WOF (for your body not the car!) so you can understand where you're at with fitness and we'll help you figure out, and get to where you'd feel comfortable and like to be.
