This is a unique 8-week Body Recomp Challenge you won't find anywhere.

You'll receive world-class lifting coaching, clinical nutritionist and naturopathy support, a recovery toolkit for your nervous system, and ticket to a PB Day Event you'll to build towards.

    Advice is all good, but not if you don't actually know how to apply it.

    How do I add recovery when life's full.

    Your coaches will work this out with you, in the 8 week challenge.

  • Nutrition Seminar with Alicia Dowsett

    Calculate protein target, portions and fuelling strategy with Alicia Dowsett - Clinical Nutritionist, Registered Naturopath, Medical Herbalist. BNatMed.

    Learn what to do to fuel for muscle growth and how eat for a body recomp (specialising in 40yrs +)

    Realistic, simple meal planning. Less focus on counting calories, more on intuitive eating, protein from wholefoods. Skills, strategies, habits you can carry over after the challenge. In-person and online.

  • Sound Bath Retreat Session

    Recovery is more than rest. When your nervous system is stuck in survival mode, it’s harder to train, recover, build muscle and lose fat.

    This 45-minute Sound Bath Recovery Session with Nikki Williams uses guided body scan, healing sound bowls and instruments to balance, help bring awareness, and soothe your nervous system.

    Includes a cup of cacao after the session in the social space.

    In person + Online.

  • PB Day Event - 23 AUG

    A lifting event for you to attempt your PB Deadlift Lift - with a qualified ref, spotters, attempts, shared lunch, prize giving, and the crew cheering you on.

    3, 4, 5 day split options, progressive overload calculator, lifting trackers, mobility, core, protein calculator, simple meal plan for 8 weeks of lunches, protein maxing guide, and recovery toolkit resources in one place.

    Weekly Email with Alicia's educational nutrition videos and tips for how to eat and fuel well during body recomp.

  • Halfway Check-In

    A check-in survey reviewed by Lance and coaches so you can reset, adjust, and keep moving forward.

  • Evolt Body Scanner Special

    We're offering challengers a special rate for a pre challenge and post challenge scan.

    The scale shouldn't move much if you're in body recomp mode, muscle weighs more than fat. Optional.

8 Week Body Recomp FAQ

Is this beginner friendly?

Absolutely 100%.

Beginners usually do better than the veterans at body recomp when it comes to changing your shape, toning, dropping fat and building muscle.

You will learn the foundations properly from the start and we modify the program for you to work with where you're at.

After 40 we are all a bit busted and battle-weathered, there's always joints that are sore or something out of whack. We account for this and give you the modifications to safely lift. We suggest coaching package if you are very new.

Experienced lifters will get structure, technical refinement, progressive overload and a proper PB Day to build towards.

Is this only for people over 40?

Not at all.

The challenge is designed with adults 40+ in mind because that is who we specialise in, but it is open to anyone who wants to learn to lift properly under world-class coach, fuel better, recover better and train with more structure.

Do I need to be a member of Average Joes Gym?

Anyone can buy a challenge ticket!

You can do the challenge as a current member, as someone who trains elsewhere, or as someone new to Average Joes Gym.

Can I do this if I train at another gym?

Yes.

You can attend the challenge lessons and events, then follow the 8 Week Body Recomp System at your own gym.

Is the Nutrition Seminar online?

Yes. Also in person.

The Nutrition Seminar will be available in person at Average Joes Gym and online via Teams for challenge ticket holders.

Is the Sound Bath included?

Yes.

The Sound Bath Recovery Session with Nikki Williams is included in your challenge ticket and will be available in-person and online.

What if I miss a Lift Lesson?

The Lift Lessons are designed as in-person sessions.

You will still receive the challenge handouts and 8 Week Body Recomp System materials.

Where possible, we may record or stream parts of sessions, but the best experience is attending live.

Do I have to buy the extra support sessions?

No. They are optional.

The challenge ticket gives you the full core experience.

The extra specialist sessions are for people who want more personal support.

Extra 60min Lift Clinics are available with Coach Lance for $99 and we have 30min Consultations with Alicia for Nutrition/Naturopathy at $59.

These will be available in week 2 to purchase throughout the challenge.

Are Evolt scans included?

No.

Evolt scans are optional and paid directly to an external company. We have secured the best possible price for our challengers. If you are interested please contact us or we will reach out closer to the challenge start.
