Learn simple, uncomplicated ways to to eat/fuel for body recomp without starving yourself, endless calorie-counting or following a perfect meal plan that falls apart by week 2.
We guide you on nutrition for real life, knowing you have a busy schedule, stress, low bandwidth, social plans, kids/family commitments.
Calculate your protein target, what that looks like across a normal day, meal ideas that are simple enough for grab-n-go days.The goal is not a quick-fix diet. It’s learning habits you can keep using long after the 8 weeks.

Sound Bath Retreat Session
Recovery is more than rest.
A 45-minute Sound Bath Recovery Session with Nikki Williams - using guided body scan, sound bowls and instruments to help your nervous system downshift, release tension and reset during the challenge.
Includes cacao afterwards in the social space.

PB Day Event - 23 AUG
Give us 8 Weeks and you'll lift heavier than you ever have.
8 Weeks of strength training with Coach Lance using progressive overload, will end with this PB event day.
A supported lifting event where you’ll attempt your PB deadlift with a qualified ref, spotters, attempts, shared lunch, prizegiving and the crew cheering you on.
Not a competition against others, it's your PB day. -

This 15-minute appointment with Rochelle helps identify what may be affecting the way you move — so we can better support your lifting, modify where needed, and help you train with more confidence through the challenge.

8 Week Body Recomp FAQ
Is this beginner friendly?
Absolutely 100%.
Beginners usually do better than the veterans at body recomp when it comes to changing your shape, toning, dropping fat and building muscle.
You will learn the foundations properly from the start and we modify the program for you to work with where you're at.
After 40 we are all a bit busted and battle-weathered, there's always joints that are sore or something out of whack. We account for this and give you the modifications to safely lift. We suggest coaching package if you are very new.
Experienced lifters will get structure, technical refinement, progressive overload and a proper PB Day to build towards.
Is this only for people over 40?
Not at all.
The challenge is designed with adults 40+ in mind because that is who we specialise in, but it is open to anyone who wants to learn to lift properly under world-class coach, fuel better, recover better and train with more structure.
Do I need to be a member of Average Joes Gym?
Anyone can buy a challenge ticket!
You can do the challenge as a current member, as someone who trains elsewhere, or as someone new to Average Joes Gym.
Can I do this if I train at another gym?
Yes.
You can attend the challenge lessons and events, then follow the 8 Week Body Recomp System at your own gym.
If you want coached support at Average Joes Gym, you can add the 4 Week Training Access Pass.

Is the Nutrition Seminar online?
Yes. Also in person.
The Nutrition Seminar will be available in person at Average Joes Gym and online via Teams for challenge ticket holders.
Is the Sound Bath included?
Yes.
The Sound Bath Recovery Session with Nikki Williams is included in your challenge ticket and will be available in-person and online.
What if I miss a Lift Lesson?
The Lift Lessons are designed as in-person sessions.
You will still receive the challenge handouts and 8 Week Body Recomp System materials.
Where possible, we may record or stream parts of sessions, but the best experience is attending live.
Do I have to buy the extra support sessions?
No. They are optional.
The challenge ticket gives you the full core experience.
The extra specialist sessions are for people who want more personal support.
Extra 60min Lift Clinics are available with Coach Lance for $99 and we have 30min Consultations with Alicia for Nutrition/Naturopathy at $59.
These will be available in week 2 to purchase throughout the challenge.
Are Evolt scans included?
No.
Evolt body scans are highly recommended for this challenge but they are optional and payment is directly to an external company.
It takes about 60 seconds and you get multiple data points about your body composition. You do one at the start and one at 8 weeks.
We've organised the best possible price for our challengers. Promo for Challengers $50 For two scans, $60 for three scans.
It's not just about the scale with Body Recomposition, a better metric about how you're progressing is understanding your body composition: including lean muscle mass, body fat percentage, visceral fat, total body water and segmental muscle / fat analysis.
